TASTER SESSION:
Monday 23rd February 2026, 4.30-5.30
The Textiles Club is a chance to learn some great skills and techniques in a subject that is rarely taught in schools these days. Each half term will run a different project with a different technique/skill such as embroidery/cross stitch; felting; knitting; crocheting; and sewing e.g. cushion covers, simple clothing, etc. Each project also includes some designing and planning.
The Textiles sessions are designed for children in upper KS2 (yr5 & 6) & KS3. The club will run from 4.30pm-5.30pm on a Monday during term time and cost £12 per child per session, inclusive of all materials. The club currently runs from my home in Newcourt (near Exeter Golf Club), where I have tutored from for over ten years. My Husband assists with the club – we are both trained but non-practicing teachers with full DBS checks. If the club reaches capacity, we may consider moving to a bigger location or adding a second session, so please get in touch if you are interested in other times.
If you are interested in signing your child up for the club, please complete the registration form below and then look out for an email confirming your space and providing payment details. If you wish to try it out first, please complete the form and just mention in the details box that you would like to do the taster session first, before committing to the half term.
